Your support of Embracing Our Difference® is is vital for Coexistence, Inc. and its Steering Committee to continue this important work. Coexistence, Inc. and its Embracing Our Differences® project is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation. Your gift is fully tax deductible to the extent allowable under law. There are numerous ways in which you, as a business or an individual, can support the mission of Embracing Our Differences, including sponsorship of an individual work of art, an individual quotation or educational programs for students. Since 2004, over 850,000 people have experienced this celebration of diversity in our community. Our 2010 exhibit drew a record setting number of submissions from 2,518 artists (a 26.9% increase over 2009) and 497 quotation authors. Submissions were received from across the suncoast as well as from 43 different countries and 39 different states. We also received student submissions from 55 different schools and approximately one-third of the art and quotations selected for display were submitted by Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte County public and private school students. Since 2004, more than 70,000 students have been brought to the bayfront for a first hand observation and discussion concerning the importance of diversity. The majority of these students received free transportation to and from the bayfront compliments of our generous financial supporter. CLICK HERE to view our 2009 Report for more details.
