Folly of Man by Christopher M. Brock Portage, Indiana |
There is so much
GOOD in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it behooves all of us not to talk about the rest of us.
Robert Louis Stevenson |
| FROM THE ARTIST: Inspired by the Blue Oyster Cult song, “Go Go Godzilla,” this piece represents the misunderstanding humankind has towards its own reflection and different species. Fear of something diverse creates a barrier between humans. Being able to understand one another will dissolve this barrier. Godzilla appears to be a horrifying monster that towers over the city. Human’s initial instinct is to feel fear. When people begin to take time to understand the monster, they will begin to see their similarities and not their differences. |
