If we stop looking through a zoom lens and start looking through a wide angle, we would be AMAZED at the view.

I create my artwork based on what I see. I shoot photographs in order to show the world. This photograph is of a child in a Maasai Tribe school in Tanzania. The volunteers handed out toys for the children and it was very powerful to see how the children reacted to the very simple toys they were given. They were exited to have a simple mask that was “made in China”. It is interesting to see an African child wearing a mask that traditionally resembles Mardi Gras. The theme “Embracing Our Differences” means a lot in today’s society. It means a lot for people not only to acknowledge their differences, but also to embrace them. This theme is a very personal one - one that could potentially open the minds of many people.
