Artist Statement

I chose to raise awareness about racism in my project. The quote, “Laundry is the only thing that should be separated by color,” caught my attention and I decided to create my piece around its message. I agree with the meaning that skin color should not separate people. I hope my artwork encourages people to accept others no matter what the color of their skin.
