Birds of a Feather

Artist Statement

We are all one people. No matter what race, color, size, sexual orientation, disability, likes or dislikes, we are all human. We are all one flock. The birds in my food coloring and wax painting come from all walks of life, in much the same way as people do. We are a little different from each other, but ultimately we are people.

When creating Birds of a Feather, I wanted to do something fun and different. I chose a flock of flamingos to use and make each one an individual, but all flocking together regardless of their differences.
