Artist Statement

Diversity is a goal because it is the right thing to do. Embracing diversity is a practical act that insures our survival. Strength through unity in times of great upheaval empowers us in a common cause. In the face of an impending storm, our strength lies in our unity of purpose. Our unity is derived from our diversity.

The multicolored leaves bind together the deeply rooted tree of man. We arrived here from the examples and sacrifices set by the many generations that preceded us.
