Artist Statement

I picked up this card catalog from the library when they were bringing it out to the dumpster, now that everything is on computers. It’s a great place to store all my craft supplies! For this piece, I photographed the card catalog and replaced the labels with words that reflect inequality and discrimination. The only drawer that is open is “LOVE”. That is why I call this piece, “Discovering Love”.
