The Odd Couple

Artist Statement

This unique couple will not be brought down;
As they enjoy their stroll around town.
You might think they don’t go together,
But that won’t stop them from enjoying the weather.
Maybe they’re not in a spot you’d expect.
Maybe you should take time to reflect.
Just because they may seem out of place,
Doesn’t mean we can’t share this space.
Society could learn a lot from these two,
Their relationship is fair, honest, and true.
Their love for each other is not an illusion,
This odd couple is a model of inclusion.
