Work Like a Woman

Artist Statement

My piece represents gender equality in government and the workplace. Throughout history, women have worked tirelessly to break the stereotype that they are judged by. The people in this image are supposed to represent government officials. Obviously, one of them is in bright red heels. It shows that women, too, can have a big voice when it comes to leading and decision-making. In the U.S., most government positions are filled by men, but I believe women are just as capable of leading.
