My artwork represents the beauty standards pushed upon young women in today’s society. Being thin is equated with health and beauty, and many girls try to achieve this using dangerous methods. I wanted to bring attention to the rise of eating disorders and other harmful techniques young girls use to look like the models who are represented in magazines, Instagram and other venues of advertising.
