Lily's Remembrance

Artist Statement

The topic of this artwork is about Ukraine. There has been a recent war between Ukraine and Russia with many casualties. Many civilians are dying in the relentless bombing, participating in wars at a youthful age, and making sacrifices. As human beings, I feel their sorrow and pain. I hope those who see my work will not forget and continue to remember the sad events that took place in Ukraine. In my work, the background represents Ukraine, the lily represents death, holding hands represents peace between Ukraine and Russia, and people and candles represents tribute to their sacrifice. I believe that war should not happen in any country. I do not want people to go through a lot of hardship because of war.
