One Size Does Not Fit All

Artist Statement

When creating this piece, I aimed to portray how although it may feel odd, unfamiliar, and uncomfortable at first (illustrated by the four people wearing ill-fitting shoes that do not belong to them), there is limitless benefit to putting in the effort to step back and see things through someone else's point of view, and to acknowledge how the experiences they've had have shaped them and their values. Initially shocking differences in culture, beliefs, and appearance do not need to be reasons for division, but instead opportunities to broaden your perspective and unite people.
