Artist Statement

Taking world famous paintings as the entry point, the picture depicts a story that happens in an art museum with a variety of different styles of art works. A group of children from all over the world rush toward the famous paintings, including Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait and the Mona Lisa, and the paintings come alive. They change their solemn images, and with a warm smile, stretch out their arms to hug the children tightly. In the world of art, the children feel equality and love. "We are different from each other, but we hug each other tightly." The work expresses the theme: it is because of all kinds of differences that we have this colorful world.
