"When you are tempted to say something mean, imagine someone else saying it to you."
quote by: Jean Feingold, Gainesvillle, Florida
After the advancement of technology, people not only have experienced bullying at school, but also online. Bullying online, or “cyber bullying,” is when other kids target someone to blackmail, harass, or generally say very harmful things to them. My piece shows a person who looks fine from the outside. However, inside their perspective, or their “eye,” there is a whirlpool that sucks in all the terrible things that he is called and absorbs it all. The three people coming from the whirlpool are yelling insults that stick with the main person. The background is an empty void of darkness to convey that to the protagonist, it feels isolating and as though no one will help him. I hope my piece helps people understand the perspectives of people who suffer from cyber-bullying and encourages them to stand up for the cyber-bullied.
