"Don't keep an open mind. Share it."
quote by: Irene Nicola, Sarasota, Florida
In the consciousness of adults, they need teenagers to be simple: obedient and submissive, and teenagers are used to fighting this stereotype with silence. But the truth is, really get into each teenager and you'll realize that each of them possesses a rich world. Like me in the painting, I am a loner in my own world, wearing various masks. Each face in the painting is a unique shape, each click is a new performance, each gaze is a new period of self-examination. We are hovering on the edge of illusion and reality, showing or hiding ourselves with a thousand different faces, conversing with the world with different identities, diverse images, rich words, as well as pictures and emoji, and recognizing our multi-faceted selves and the complex world. In the age of the Internet, teenagers have been reconceptualized.
