This painting is from my own anxiety. I often follow the norms and other's expectations that make me need to hide my true self, my style, my creativity so I won't disappoint anyone, and I suffer. I believe that people should be free to express themselves if it doesn't actually harm anyone. The safe box is representing the comfort zone which you can choose to stay inside or to come out and show the world how unique you are, I'm not telling what is that colorful mannequin doing, to hide? or to shine? the decision is yours.
