Artist Statement

We are all part of the same human family, regardless of our differences. The intention behind this work is to explore the idea of seeing one another through the eyes of non-judgement. To perceive with love and embrace each other openly. When we judge we divide! The piece itself celebrates diversity and distinctions using a wide spectrum of vibrant colors along with other materials coming together to flow harmoniously. The iris of the eye is specifically painted in different shades of brown, hazel, green and blue to represent our uniqueness, since their characteristics vary between each individual. In this mixed media artwork I used acrylics on plywood detailed with mosaic tiles, mirror and glass.
