Artist Statement

This artwork was inspired by The Black Panthers program (Peoples Free Food Program) that helped feed underprivileged people during the 70s. The artwork depicts two children enjoying their meal, provided by the program. Also including details in the clothing that sheds light on The Black Panthers acts of service. The theme 'Embracing Our Differences' to me means accepting your, and others individuality. Understanding that through many walks of life everyone should be treated the same, despite their background. Collectively we should all uplift each other and be a helping hand.
