"Advocacy is never too loud. Speak up for those who need your voice."
quote by: Kayla Taylor, Sarasota, Florida
Voting is one of the most equal acts in a society. I drew each person entering the polling station. A person standing with a cane due to difficulty walking, someone in a wheelchair, an ordinary office worker, a housewife, and a woman in high heels. They are all different, but they each hold the same right to vote. The changing colors of the word “VOTE” above the polling station like a spectrum represent the idea that people of all backgrounds and identities are equally entitled to participate in the democratic process. Through this piece, I wanted to express how the act of voting creates a rare and powerful moment of unity where differences in ability, gender, profession, or background disappear, and everyone becomes simply human. It’s a space where inclusion becomes real: no matter where you’re from, what you look like, or how you live your life, your voice matters just the same.
