Embracing Dr. Seuss' Differences Day 2017

Dr. Seuss epitomizes a love of children and learning. His use of rhyme makes an effective tool for teaching young children the basic skills needed to be successful in an ever changing world. Embracing Dr. Seuss' Differences Day celebrates Dr. Seuss and reading, sending a clear message to our children that reading is fun and important while stimulating conversations regarding diversity, bullying and respect for others.

2016 Annual Luncheon

The 2016 Annual Embracing Our Differences Luncheon was held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Michael's On East ballroom. The luncheon helped kick off the 14th Annual outdoor art exhibit celebrating diversity which will be on display at Sarasota's Island Park. Riverview Co-Existence Club Docent Training at Ringling Museum

The Co-Existence Club at Riverview High School spent a day at The Ringling receiving in-depth "Docent Training" with professional docents from the museum. Under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Dena Sturm, members of the Riverview High School Coexistence Club work as docents leading groups of younger students through the Embracing Our Differences exhibit, inspiring them to recognize and understand the messages delivered through the art. Club members worked daily in the park providing tours to 7,708 K-8 student visitors during the 2016 exhibit.
