The Co-Existence Club at Riverview High School spent a day at The Ringling receiving in-depth "Docent Training" with professional docents from the museum. Under the guidance of Faculty Advisor Dena Sturm, members of the Riverview High School Coexistence Club work as docents leading groups of younger students through the Embracing Our Differences exhibit, inspiring them to recognize and understand the messages delivered through the art. Club members worked daily in the park providing tours to 7,708 K-8 student visitors during the 2016 exhibit.

Thirty Sarasota & Manatee County art teachers participated in Embracing Our Differences' 5th Annual Art Teacher Retreat. This two-day retreat was presented in partnership with Ringling College and the curriculum and instruction department of the Sarasota County school district. The workshop was designed to reinvigorate educators teaching practices while inspiring their art and art integration skills. Teachers created art as they learned new skills and strategies for inspiring their students.
