Selby Gardens' world-class collection of tropical plants is your living laboratory to explore unique plant communities—from the rainforest to the desert to our favorite local superstars, the mangroves! Students can investigate the importance of their uniqueness in the greater realm of ecological biodiversity.
You may choose between the following options:
Guided Tours ($12 per student)
Selby Gardens’ guided school tours at the Downtown Sarasota campus consist of a docent-led general Gardens tour.
Self-Guided (Teacher-Led) Tours ($9 per student)
Self-guided school groups can reach curricular goals, deepen understanding of classroom lessons, and support unique student needs and interests with a visit to explore our gardens.
Regardless of your selected option, we highly recommend that you:
1. Begin your day at Selby Gardens' Downtown Sarasota campus (60 min. experience).
(Check-in is between 9:45am-10am with a start time of 10am)
2. Walk from Selby Gardens to Bayfront Park (15 min., 0.6 mile walk)
3. Eat lunch at Bayfront Park
4. End your day with your EOD exhibit tour (45-60 min. experience)
