The John and Ringling Museum of Art is proud to offer a self-guided tour experience to participants in the Embracing Our Differences Make-A-Day of It! Program. A discussion guide produced by The Ringling Museum is designed to complement the Embracing Our Differences curriculum. Both the tour and guide highlight issues of identity, injustice, personal responsibility, conflict, and compassion through a selection of artworks that encourage students to think both broadly, above universal humanitarian concerns, and specifically, about their own spheres of experience. Teachers are encouraged to download the Field Trip guide in advance of their museum visit and bring it with them as they explore the galleries with their students.
Cost: Free for students. Please bring two adult chaperones (no charge) for every ten students in the group. Chaperones exceeding this ratio are charged $10 each. Reservations must be made through The Ringling at least two weeks in advance.
